3D Character: Baron WIP

I thought it was time to update this blog with some new content after a long hiatus, to break the silence if you will. This a character that I sketched sometime ago and I wanted to bring him to the world of 3d as a way to improve and continue down the road of creativity. This is a quick render of the character and it’s all created in Maya plus Photoshop. I still got some smaller things to fix before I can go on to the next step which is rigging. I’ll try my best to update more often as I build upon my skillset. Until then! Click the 3D image to enlarge.

New painting: Island

Here’s a new painting from me, a digital painting. I know…it’s been awhile but hey, at least it’s something..right?
I had a blast painting this one, it was really fun…especially after hitting some rough patches..healthwise that is…
A painting a day keeps lazyness away is it? Hmm, I might have to work on that…^_^

Practice: Walkabout

Here’s something new. A little something I drew today in Photoshop for practice just to keep up the  pace even though I’m sitting here with the flu on top of some other health issues. I just couldn’t stay away from creating^^

Practice: Face study

Practice makes perfect as they say…so here’s a face study I did in Photoshop today of some random guy. Might do more of the
of these  in the future.

Leaf blower guy

Here’s a new character…a leaf blower guy in a slight steampunkiish style. Just something I had in the back of my head today and wanted to life form to. This is the result from todays session, I had a blast…^^ What do you think?

Here’s something new I’ve painted in Photoshop. I could refine this forever, I had to stop myself from doing what I always seem to do; spend to much time on my paintings. Well this is the result of an idea I had the other day.

A selection of both recent and older digital landscape speedpaintings. All painted in photshop using an old bambo fun tablet. For these I didn’t use any references, I just painted whatever came to mind at the time being. Quite random, ins’t it? Yep. I want to do more landscape studies using references to get a solid foundation when painting landscapes and other types of environments. Until then these will have to do!
